Philosophy of Care
The Massage Therapy profession is centered around the patient and and their impairments . This meaning that, before I approach any treatment I first find out what the problem is, best to my ability. I do this by obtaining subjective information such as: pain assessment and health history as well as subjective assessments such as, postural or range of motion assessments. The results I obtain from the objective assessment helps me to either reject or confirm the hypothesis that I had made from the subjective information that the client had given me.
My key goal is to help people, whether it is for rehabilitation, maintenance and/ or wellness purposes. I do this with a combination of massage techniques and or exercise. What drives me to continue is that there is always something to know and new things to learn. This keeps me interested at all times and helps me get to my main goal which is to succeed well in what I do and strive to improve as a registered massage therapist.
